Coming 2025 from Stanley/Barker and to feature 93 35mm color and black-and-white film photographs made on a 2022 drive from Florida to Los Angeles, Marquis will represent the seventh book of selected photographs from an ongoing documentation of America that began in California in 2006.

“I flew from Los Angeles to Florida at the top of November 2022 with the intention of driving back home the 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis sedan I’d purchased online the month prior. I had with me a small duffel, my journal, and a bag of Ilford HP5 black-and-white and Kodak Gold color film rolls for my Nikon 28ti 35mm compact. Exposed two rolls of color 120 film with my Yashica 6x6 twin lens camera but those images have been left alone, for now. While the old car gave me some issues, I did eventually complete the drive, visiting both familiar and new places along the way. Hadn’t traveled the coastal edges of those Southern States in over a decade. The following pictures are presented in rough chronological order and were made primarily from the driver’s seat.”
